Alweer een week voorbij, wat vliegt de tijd toch, he?
Sorry dat ik de laatste week niet zoveel van me heb laten horen of niet bij jullie blogs ben langs geweest maar ik ben zo druk geweest met een nieuwe opdracht voor Creatief met Foto's! Of het leuk geworden is? Oordeel zelf maar als het nieuwe nummer in de schappen ligt, zo rond begin juni.
Die layouts kan ik jullie dus nog niet laten zien. De volgende wel. Eentje voor de nieuwe challenge van These Are a Few of my Favorite Things...

Another week has gone. Time flies!!
Sorry I haven't been around the last few days and haven't visited your blogs but a was working very hard on a new assignment for the Dutch magazine Creatief met Foto's! If you want to know how it turned out, you have to wait for several months, than I can show you the layouts! So sorry!

Dan mijn GDT layout voor Scrapping the Music. Het liedje wat centraal staat is 40 Dogs van Bob Schneider. Ik heb de woorden The Color of the Moon gebruikt. De foto van de zonsondergang is gemaakt tijdens een vakantie op Kreta. Deze week heb ik trouwens de mooiste zonsondergang ooit gezien, in Nederland nog wel. Prachtige kleuren!! Verderop in deze post zal ik er foto's van laten zien.

And my GDT layout for Scrapping the Music. It' s all about the song 40 Dogs by Bob Schneider. I used the words The Color of the Moon. The picture has been taken during a vacation on Crete, This week I have seen the most beautiful sunset ever!! In Holland, can you imagine? I'll show you some pictures of it later on in this post.

Misschien kennen jullie de uitspraak van Johan Cruyff wel: Ieder nadeel heeft z'n voordeel.
Daar moet ik de laatste dagen steeds aan denken als ik het nieuws hoor over de vulkaanuitbarsting in IJsland met als gevolg dat het luchtruim boven Nederland en een groot gedeelte van Europa gesloten is voor het vliegverkeer. Vreselijk vervelend natuurlijk voor al die mensen die nu niet van A naar B kunnen! Maar geweldig voor de mensen die in de omgeving van Schiphol wonen, wat zal het daar nu heeeeerlijk rustig zijn!
En zelf heb ik er ook van genoten, donderdagavond, tijdens een schitterende zonsondergang. Nog nooit heb ik de lucht en het water zulke prachtige kleuren zien hebben! Door de as kleurde de lucht niet oranje maar rood en het water leek wel paars!

A famous Dutch football player, Johan Cruyff, always says: every disadvantage has an advantage.
I have to think about that saying a lot, this last week, because of the eruption of a vulcano on Iceland. Because of that eruption and the wind that blows the ashes over Europe, no airplanes are allowed to fly to and from all airports in Holland and surrounding countries since last thursday! Of course this is terrible for all those passengers that are stranded at the airports for several days and for everyone who has to go from A to B, but there are also a lot of people who are very happy with this situation! For example the people who live near Schiphol and the other airports...they adore the silence of the last days!!
And I enjoyed it too, last thursday evening, during a gorgeous sunset! I've never seen such beautiful colors of the sky and the water. Because of the ashes the sky didn't turn orange but red and the water was purple..

En niet alleen 's avonds is het een prachtig gezicht, ook overdag is de lucht nu strak blauw, zonder vliegtuigstrepen...

And not only in the evening it looks wonderful, also in the daytime the sky is sooo blue, without any stripes of the airplanes..
Prachtig he? Voor mij mag het luchtruim nog wel een tijdje gesloten blijven..
