Na een aantal fantastische dagen in het winter-wonder-land van Belt-Schutsloot, ben ik weer terug. Helaas werd ik bij thuiskomst direct overvallen door het (buik)griepvirus :-(

Gelukkig begin ik weer iets op te knappen en kan ik de energie opbrengen om dit superleuke nieuwtje met jullie te delen.

I've spent some great days in Belt-Schutsloot! Unfortunately the (stomach)flew attacked me when I got home :-(

I'm feeling a lot better now and I want to share this happy news with you.

Goodbye to the winter

En dan toch nog wat schaats- foto's. Als afscheid van deze geweldige winterse dagen waarbij heel Nederland in de ban van het ijs was.

And as a goodbye to the winter, some pictures of our weekend.

 Karlijn en haar vriendinnen kwamen ook even langs om te schaatsen/Karlijn and her friends came by to skate..

Zie je de ouderwetse 'houtjes'? Geweldig he?/Look at those oldfashioned wooden skates, lol

Als je nu naar buiten kijkt, kun je je niet voorstellen dat deze foto's maar 4 dagen geleden gemaakt zijn...

2 Layouts, 2 Cards and a bag...

In deze post hebben jullie kunnen lezen dat ik deze maand GDT ben van Amy's CREATE 365 en dit zijn 2 layouts die ik gemaakt heb met het geweldige papier van Bella Blvd. De lijn heet Family Dynamix en ik vond die helemaal toepasselijk bij de foto's die ik gebruikt heb ;-)

Vorige week donderdag was ik jarig. Ik wil jullie even 2 kaartjes laten zien die ik heb gekregen. Allereerst deze van Petra:

It was my birthday last Thursday and I want to show you 2 cards I got that day.

First this one made by Petra:

This is the front of the envelope!! Wonderful, isn't it?

And this is the card! LOVE it!!

In m'n vorige post heb ik jullie verteld over de fototas die ik besteld had bij Pilger Bags. Helaas 

viel hij me een beetje tegen... De kleur was veel somberder dan ik had verwacht en het formaat was toch een beetje te klein voor wat ik er allemaal in mee wil nemen.

Gelukkig is de service bij Pilger Bags helemaal geweldig en kon ik hem ruilen. Na veel wikken en wegen heb ik een nieuwe keuze gemaakt... Zodra deze gearriveerd is, zal ik hem jullie laten zien!! Ik denk dat deze tas veel beter bij me past.
Een hint over de kleur: hij past heel goed bij m'n outfit van vandaag ;-)

In my previous post I told you about the bag of Kelly Moore I ordered at Pilger Bags. Well, it arrived but unfortunately I was a little bit dissapointed... Didn't like the color as much as I thought and the bag was to small for all the stuff I'm planning to take with me.

Thanks to the wonderful service of Pilger Bags I was able to return it and pick another one! And I did!! I think this one fits me moore! 

As soon as it arrives, I'll show it to you!
And about the color of the bag, I only can tell you it matches my outfit of today perfectly ;-)...

Change of plans..

Soms verlopen dingen anders dan gepland. In plaats van een weekend vol drukte en blues muziek in Raalte werd het een rustig weekend vol zon, watervertier en klusjes in Belt-Schutsloot. Wel foto's, zoals beloofd:

Sometimes plans change. Instead of a weekend full of 'noise' in Raalte it became a quiet weekend in Belt-Schutsloot. I did take pictures, as promised:

Daarom vandaag nog even een 'oudje', gemaakt met papier van Bella Blvd voor Creatief met Foto's nr. 45 maar afgevallen voor publicatie:

Back after a blog-break and a special challenge at Fave Things!

Daar ben ik weer, na een korte blogpauze. Géén scrap-pauze, want afgelopen week heb ik m'n nieuwe opdracht voor de CMF volbracht! Was hard werken maar ik ben tevreden met het eindresultaat. Nog 2 maanden wachten en dan kunnen jullie ook zien wat ik gemaakt heb!

Vandaag is het tijd voor een nieuwe challenge bij These Are a Few of my Favorite Things. En deze keer hebben we het anders dan anders gedaan:

Afgelopen maand is de zwager van Stephanie (de eigenaar van Bella Blvd) bij een auto ongeluk om het leven gekomen. Op haar blog heeft ze een verzoek geplaatst voor Thank You kaarten, om alle mensen die haar en haar familie in deze moeilijke tijd bijstaan, te kunnen bedanken. Ook Dolores, een blogvriending van Julie, heeft dit verzoek en wel voor haar vriendin die borstkanker heeft. 

Nu is ons verzoek aan jullie: maar een Thank You kaart met je FAVO herfst kleuren en stuur die naar één (of allebei) van deze dames.

Geen prijzen dus, deze keer. Ook geen winnaar. Alleen een verzoek om hulp. 

We willen natuurlijk wel graag zien welke mooie kaarten jullie allemaal gemaakt hebben, dus plaats hier even een linkje naar je blog waar je je kaart(en) laat zien.

Today the new challenge of These are a Few of my Favorite Things is online. And this time it's a different one:

Within this past month, we have found out that Stephanie's (the owner of Bella Blvd) brother-in-law was killed in an accident and Dolores's (Blogger friend) best friend is fighting breast cancer on a very limited income being a teacher. BOTH ladies (Dolores and Stephanie) have asked for Thank You cards to be sent to them to have on hand for the many, many, many people that are assisting them in their time of need.  
So we at FAVE THINGS came up with the idea to help them and make it a challenge to all of you to help out too....  

 

OUR CHALLENGE is ... make a THANK YOU CARD using your FAVE FALL COLORS and send it to one or both of these women in need if you decide to make more than one card!
That is our special challenge this time around. Make a Thank You card for one or both of these ladies that are requesting them and send cards to them. No prize this time, no winner... just asking for our friends and fans to help them out! We hope that even though there isn't a prize or winner this time around... that you will still find it in your heart to join us on this quest! We would still LOVE to see the cards you make though so please link your card(s) to us here!

Allereerst 3 layouts.

De eerste is voor de nieuwste schets van Sketchy Thursdays. Ik ben een grote fan van dit challenge blog, helemaal nu Mirjam en Jeanet ook in het DT zitten! En Julie natuurlijk!

First layout I'm gonna show you is for the latest sketch of Sketchy Thursdays. 

I love this challenge blog, especially now since Mirjam and Jeanet are also in the DT! And Julie ofcourse!

De volgende 2 layouts heb ik gemaakt met de Kreatorville Krafts kit van september.

 Een zomerse layout....

A sunny page...

....en een andere met herfstkleuren.

De uitgeknipte 'doilie' en de (geverfde) chipboard bladeren heb ik bewerkt met doorzichtige embossingpoeder, wat er een heel speciaal effect aan geeft.

....and another one with autumn colors.

I covered the cut-out doilie and the (painted) chipboard leaves with clear embossing powder. Love the result!

Vrijdag werd ik verrast met Happy Mail. Echt onverwachte Happy Mail en dat is dubbel zo leuk! Het pakketje kwam van Bella Blvd en bevatte een complete lijn van het zomerse papier Happy Blue Skies!! En dat allemaal omdat het wat langer geduurd heeft dat de hanger die ik gemaakt heb toen ik in januari Guest Artista was, teruggestuurd werd. Dat noem ik nou een lief gebaar! 

Friday the mailwoman surprised me with Happy Mail. Unexpected Happy Mail, and that's even more fun! It was from Bella Blvd and it contained a complete line of the wonderful sunny papers Happy Blue Skies!! And why? Just because it took some time before they returned the hanger I made when I was their January Guest Artista. That's what I call a sweet gesture!

Geweldig papier om snel nog wat zomerse foto's mee te scrappen, toch?

Wonderful paper to use for some summer photos, ain't that so?

Bella Blvd and the Creative Type.

Het is tijd voor m'n laatste 2 layouts voor Bella Blvd. Nouja, 1 layout en 1 hanger.

It's time for the last 2 layouts for Bella Blvd. Well, 1 layout and 1 wall hangin.

Of course I had to make something about my own home. This house is very important to me. It was my grandparents home, my father grew up there. When my grandparents died, my parents inherited it and after their death, my sister and I agreed that I could have it. Ruud and I renovated it for more than 5 years and now it's finished, it's our little palace!! The photo is on a piece of Grunge-board by Tim Holtz. I used acrylic paint, gesso and ink to distress it.

My last layout of the week is this one. The picture is of my feet (and my favorite shoes) relaxing on the table in my scrapping room. I love to spend much time in this room, with my computer and all my scrapping stuff close at hand. I printed the photo four times and cut some details out and made depth in the photo.

Next layout is made for challenge #23 of The Creative Type. To kick off the new year, prompt #23 will involve newspaper. Use it anyway you want, but just use it!

De grappige foto's van Ruud zijn gemaakt tijdens onze vakantie op Corfu. Ruud is stapelgek op toetjes en was erg benieuwd naar de smaak van dit, voor hem nog onbekende toetje. Zoals je ziet, is het goedgekeurd!

Ik heb de achtergrond met krantenpapier en schilderstape beplakt en daarna met gesso bewerkt. De bloem heb ik van stroken papier gemaakt die ik met spray inkt een kleurtje heb gegeven.

The funny pictures of Ruud have been taken at Corfu. Ruud loves desserts and was very curious to know what this one tasted like. You can see that he liked it very much!!

I made the background by adding newspaper and tape on cardstock and distressed it with gesso. The flower are made from strips of newspaper and colored with spray ink.
