In mei 2009 kreeg ik een mailtje van Mandy met de vraag of ik lid wilde worden van het Design Team van het challengeblog Let's Get Shabby, dat zij en Julie wilden gaan oprichten. Ik was heel erg blij super gevleid maar ook een beetje onzeker, want was shabby wel mijn stijl? Ik heb 'ja' gezegd en heb een fantastische tijd gehad met een geweldig leuk en enthousiast team maar na ongeveer 1,5 jaar ben ik er toch mee gestopt, ik bleef m'n twijfels houden over mijn stijl. Toch ben ik het blog blijven volgen en toen ik de challenge voor deze keer zag, heb ik besloten het er toch nog een keer op te wagen: ik ga een 'shabby' layout maken!

May 2009 Mandy asked me to be a part of the Design Team of Let's Get Shabby, a new challenge blog founded by Mandy and Julie. I was very happy ànd honoured she asked me and I said 'yes' although there was a little bit of doubt in me about the 'shabby thing'. Was it my style, shabby? I had so much fun being part of this enthusiastic team! But after 1,5 year I said goodbye, I still had too many doubts... Although I quit the team, I remained a follower of their blog and yesterday I decided to give it another try: I'm gonna make a 'shabby' layout!!

Dit boeketje had ik voor Love Scrapping gemaakt als inspiratie voor een Moederdagcadeautje. Natuurlijk kun je het ook maken als er iets anders te vieren is.
I created this little bouquet for the blog of Love Scrapping as an inspiration for a Mothersday-gift. Of course you can also use it for another celebration!
Maak wat bloemen van je favoriete papier (in dit geval Color Conspiracy), zet ze op stukjes ijzerdraad, plak Washi Tape op wit cardstock en knip er blaadjes uit, werk af met knoopjes e.d en klaar is je boeketje!
Just make some flowers with your favorite papers ( I used Color Conspiracy), put them on a wire, use Washi Tape on white cardstock and cut some leaves out of it and your bouquet is finished!
Use a wooden spool to create your vase. Use gesso and acrylic paint to color it, wrap a piece of paper around it with a heart and some nice words and your vase is finished too! Glue it all on a doily and I think you can make someone happy with this little gift.
